Resource 02

Make sample feedback actionable.

Good feedback identifies the observation, the desired change and the source of truth.

Separate four types of feedback

Fit and measurement; construction and workmanship; material and color; artwork, trim and packaging. Mixing them into one visual comment thread makes ownership and approval harder.

Reference exact locations

Use point-of-measure names, annotated photographs and revision numbers. Avoid comments such as “make it better” when a specific direction can be stated.

Consolidate decision-makers

Send one approved feedback set per round. Conflicting comments from different stakeholders create avoidable revisions.

State what is approved

Approval is as important as correction. Record which elements can be treated as locked for the next stage.
